Paste text, adjust the spacing sliders, and read without fighting the page.
Why Letter Spacing & Line Spacing Helps Dyslexia
Some people with dyslexia find it easier to read when letters and lines are spaced out more.
University of Padova researchers tested this with dyslexic children reading identical passages at different spacing levels.1 With expanded letter spacing: reading speed increased significantly and errors dropped by more than half.
Standard spacing in books and websites sits around 0-2px. Putting letters closer together saves money in printed books. Digital text eliminated those constraints, but it's still the standard.

How To Find Your Settings
Your optimal settings will depend on you specifically. Many dyslexic readers have found that around 4px is optimal.
Not every reader needs to make line height adjustments, but some may find it very difficult to read without them.
You may find that certain letter spacing is very hard to read, but once you hit a certain space, then it becomes very easy! Keep adjusting until you find a spacing that works for you.
Try it now: Paste text above and adjust until reading feels smooth instead of exhausting.
